On Golden Rescue
On Golden Rescue (OGR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit forever sanctuary for horses (mini & standard), donkeys, and goats! Located in Birkenfeld OGR is one of only four GFAS accredited organizations in Oregon; meaning they are held to the highest standards of care. Not to mention the endless compassion & love provided by the founders, staff, and volunteers!

Roth curated the event from start to finish from dreaming up the plan to foreseeing & solving emergencies to executing the event! Negotiated discounts with the local restaurant, brought in the Rusty Buckets to donate their performance, championed guests far & wide to attend, and connected with local businesses to donate to both the live & online auctions! Roth was also the Lead Photographer the event and captured the entire experience with her trusty camera! OGR Founder thanked Roth, saying he was too busy working the event to truly experience it and seeing these photos it was like he was really living it!

Roth was the Program Coordinator and Photographer for the first annual Golden Rescue Roundup! Attendance exceeded expectations with over one hundred guests visiting the sanctuary. The event raised over $15K to sustain, support, and save rescues! Everyone had a great time -- human and hooved!
Guests got to:
- Explore the sanctuary and meet the residents (horses, donkeys, & goats)!
- Have their polaroid taken with their new fuzzy friends!
- Strap on their feedbags and enjoy Meditternean cuisine from local eatery, Blue House Cafe!
- Bop to the bluegrass beats of the Rusty Buckets Stringband!
- Bid on a wide selection of auction items such as custom artwork, Creo Chocolates baskets, and hot air balloon ride from Portland City Rose Balloon!

Every dollar raised went directly to the rescues who call On Golden Rescue their forever home. No event is possible without the powerful, passionate people behind the scenes. Every guest, volunteer, staff member, & donor contributed to making this incredible event and saving lives!
